Ok, so idea time. In D&D it's firmly established that Hags are girls. They primarily reproduce asexually and through rituals, making near clones of themselves, keeping that up. If the DO reproduce sexually it can end up as anything, but only girls ascend to haghood. The others stay as hagspawn, basically changelings. Now interestingly, Crawford has stated that in his home games he's run hags as male or female or neither regardless of apparent sex, because they're fey. If you combine those two facts, you get fascinating options. 1- It's entirely based on your body. This could give you a hagspawn trying to magically HRT in a way that arcane law accepts. 2- Being practically clones means that the original simply passed her preferred pronouns as well. If they're cis it's mere happenstance of the first one in the chain being that way. It's only by adding some mortals into the mix that things can get complicated. This could result in a family ignoring thier child's fear, thinking them safe from the local hags...only to find out they were secretly trans, and now have a hag with a personal vendetta against them. 3- The Sinister Sisterhood isn't just what the network of hags calls itself, it's basically an ancient fey contract that created them, and only accepts women. This could result in a hagspawn waking up one day as a hag, happy for the power but realizing they apparently have some stuff to unpack. It could also result in a hag reverting to a hagspawn, because they got too introspective and decided gender was bullshit. Conclusion- write an adventure about a trans hagspawn trying to take down the sinister sisterhood. Not because of the general cruelty and dedication to evil, but because if she can't get in she'll bring it to ruin. Ending with a new hag cackling off into the world, ready to spread evil and misfortune as her true self.

i like that post of mine it's a good post and it applies to so many characters that i've reblogged it several times like "can you believe i made a post about [character] before i was even aware of her" but i can't believe some people try to defend calling characters girlbosses as if it's a word that's worth using in actual analysis

How are you feeling about Edge of Midnight so far (characters/plot/whatever)? I don’t think I’ve seen you posting about it much at all (granted, I don’t constantly stalk your blog lol), and I’m curious what your opinions are about it. :)

the reason I haven’t been talking about eom is because szare (@/szaryherbatnik if anyone doesnt know who she is, she’s so very lovely go check out her stuff!!) and i are watching it at the same time ish so i mostly go straight to her lol

i absolutely ADORE edge of midnight so far!! im watching episode 29 at the moment and…oh my god……….i barely have any words it’s SO good

the characters (with the exception of yorgrim unfortunately, i dont care much for him? idk, he’s not a bad character by any means i just didnt feel connected to him and. well. iykyk) are all so so appealing in their own right and in relation to the other party members

of course the entire reason im watching eom, my beloved lethica, is my favorite, but the andy pc bias follows me everywhere i go and marius is, to no one’s surprise, a favorite character as well

i know there’s something Big that happens in ep 31 and im scared (but very excited)

I find it really funny how different things vibe with different platforms. While most of my posts don’t get super far with two major exceptions, I do get pretty consistent interaction when I post here and am slowly collecting followers, whereas on instagram I have gotten 1 like total and I have 0 followers. It’s wild

y'know, the more I think of it, it feels like Gianni's voice for Pepperman was based more around his boss theme more than his personality.

we all see him as this sophisticated, fancy mr self-absorbed guy but like, his boss theme does not reflect that at ALL.

To me? personally? his boss theme gives me the vibes of high school jock bully who says "Well well well. What do we have here?" which is what I think Gianni was going for and surprisingly it matches Pepperman so well

Some of my friends have taken to calling me our server's resident 'hagmaxxer' because of my love for Ahab which is funny because like... no? I think Ahab is absolutely fascinating as a character and think she rules but otherwise I have no such feelings towards the character. And I can't think of any old woman I like in the same way I like, say, Ryoshu or Kromer.

That is to say, reserve the title for someone who's actually going to fuck that old woman. I don't deserve it lol.
